Computer Fundamentals for Job Skills

Cost:   $225

This course provides the students with an introduction to word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and Internet-related tools.  The course also introduces the students to the internet and external hardware components necessary for the operation of the computer.  Students leave the course with an understanding of the possible uses of the computer as a powerful tool and a basic set of skills necessary to operate the computer in a productive meaningful manner.

This program provides students with the necessary computer skills, knowledge of accounting, and office procedures for entry- level positions in a business office environment. Discover if your future is working as a Receptionist, Accounting Clerk, Secretary, Office Clerk, Customer Service Representative or an Administrative Assistant.

The Health Care Aide Course

Health Care Aides provide critical health care services to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care facilities. They assist nurses, hospital staff, and physicians in the basic care of patients. Basic care includes a range of duties covering everything from making beds and maintaining patients' rooms to taking vital signs and operating health care equipment. Health Care Aides can be found working in hospitals, nursing homes, and private residences, as well as other health care facilities. Other job titles can include nurse aide and patient care aide.

This program provides instruction in anatomy, physiology, human development, social and cultural issues, communication skills, and health care skills that are required of a health care professional working as a health care aide.

Business Planning

10 hours in up to 10 appointments

Cost: $1500                              

Write your own Business Plan!  Access one-on-one tutoring from a management consultant to guide you through the business planning process including financial projections and the creation of a clear business plan, suitable for presentation to a financial institution.

Computer Tutor

By appointment Only

Cost: $50 per hour

Computer Tutor is one-on-one training in the popular software titles.  This training is individually tailored to your needs.  You can arrange to have a one hour review of your favorite software, or a number of hours to learn something new and relate it to your job.
